Swallowing Mercury

How fresh is the voice of a young girl, especially in the hands of Wioletta Greg. It is as if I am listening to one of my students telling me a story; there is a mixture of the bizarre within truth such that you can hardly separate the facts from the imagination.

Before I've even had time to blink, they're already calling me old, when inside I'm like an unripe fruit. This is a coming-of-age tale told in memoir format.

Originally titled "Unripe Fruit", in the Polish version, this is a short, sharp, dark fable, dreamlike in its presentation, with poetic sentences, this is an hallucinatory dark and grim coming of age story. She brought me home in February.
